Walleye Dunkirk 2019

Recommended Posts

Was out yesterday a bit choppy (not bad).

Fished out in 70 foot, fish in top 35 feet for us. Didn't get out until 11am, but ended up with a half dozen in 2 and a half hours. Half fish on bay rats and half on harnesses. Also headed out to 100 to see what was there. Slime trout are there for the taking.

Hope to start getting out a bit more now.

Good Luck guys.

Went out yesterday around 8:30am and got our 2 man limit in a few hours. Purple spoons 50' down seemed to be the best producer most of the day. 10 color leadcore with a worm harness and a 300 copper with an Erie Dearie took quite a few fish as well. They were at or near bottom anywhere from 55 to 80' of water, with the best being around 60-65'. Caught one fish on the planer boards. Covered quite a bit of water, mostly straight north of the marina.

Brother and I did well this morning out front and east a little. Fished strictly 60-64 fow. Most fish were taken within 10 feet of bottom. 7 color was really good with a lime/chartreuse reef runner. Spoons on riggs were great 50 to bottom. Fish and bait in 78 degree water? I'm still learning. There was one hog in there we took 8 or 9 pounds.

We were out on Saturday and did a limit in 70ft out of Dunkirk. There are a ton of eaters out there. Caught a TON of fish this year and have yet to brak the 7lb barrier. May have to fish elsewhere, but its hard to move when you are limited in under 4 hrs (in the middle of the day).
