1954 Chris Craft Special Sportsman, a 20-foot utility with factory hardtop option. It trolls nicely and we do catch walleye on Erie, with the help from this site. Thanks to all who share their knowledge!
 
 

If you can not find a charter here on your time off, try shorefishing in either the upper and lower river. Walleyes, Brown Trout, Lake Trout and Rainbows are taken all fall and winter times. Dozens of videoes are available on You Tube showing where and how to get you out of the house, all within a short drive from home.

Best to you & your son, Tim. January & Feb are decent months, too, to go in the Lower. Wx is more stable & it won't be crowded. Those are a couple of my favorite months to go when I fish there (with a charter, of course)!

We are heading to the Leamington area in late Nov all the way from QC with our diver rig.. some say we are crazy and I say yes we are!!
We want to target redheads and canvasback. Any pointers or suggestions? Should we also look at lake St-clair?
We will be hunting with my good friend from that area but he normally goes after geese and puddlers. Thanks for your info.

I have an HDS 7 gen 3. Everything works fine now but I thought if I see a cheap fish finder unit for sale I might get it for back up. Just to control the autopilot. My next FF will not be Lowrance since there is no repair. But I love this autopilot and want to be sure I can control it.

I fished with Jim this past summer. If you want to learn he will make the charter hands on. Great guy fantastic charter caught Walleye over 10 lbs several 8 lbs great day learned a lot taking my boat next summer.
