  1. Past hour
  2. I PREFER UNDER 5 POUNDS.
  3. I’ve noticed the bigger fish are the least likely to release. It’s a real shame I don’t like eating anything over 18”
  4. A FRIEND OF MINE CAUGHT ONE 32" INCHES THE OTHER DAY COULDN'T REVIVE IT HAD TO EAT IT. I CAUGHT ONE 29 1/2" WEIGHTED 9 1/2 LBS.
  5. Today
  6. id estimate 10-11lbs, it was a very old fish, all efforts were made to revive and release but it had suffered some serious barotrauma. Biggest one I’ve landed since having a banner day on Christmas 2023, landing 7 over 27” with a 32” to boot jigging for perch.
  7. Tiller, congratulations on the 30.125 incher. Did you get a weight on it. Probably would have been competitive in the Sunset Bay tourney this weekend.
  8. First adventure ever out of Sturgeon point this afternoon wife and I easy limited 230pm to 530pm beautiful day on the Erie pond. 52 to 60 fow riggers 40 to 46 down divers on a 2.5 setting out 104 to 114 5 color and 7 color core. Renosky stick baits, harnesses and worm burner's
  9. Yesterday
  10. I SPOKE TO JASON HEAD OF ALL THE DEC BIOLOGISTS FOR L. ERIE NYS YESTERDAY. HE TOLD ME THE ESTIMATED POPULATION OF WALLEYES IN ERIE THIS YEAR IS 80,000,000 AND THAT'S JUST 2 YEAR OLD PLUS AND THEY DON'T COUNT 0'S AND 1'S. FYI.
  11. No problem. From what I’ve seen over the last 9 years is the lake just keeps getting better and I’m sure it’ll remain like this for years to come. Id be fine with a few less eyes around but more perch lol
  12. SUPER THANK YOU I'VE ONLY BEEN BACK ON ERIE SINCE 2013 AS I MOVED EAST TOWARDS ROCHESTER!! THIS TIME OF THE YEAR I LIKE TO STAY AT THE CONDO'S AT TIMES.
  13. Thanks Cisco, this was out of SP trolling east. I’ve put countless hours on that lake since getting my first boat at 18 years old. But having a couple million fish around our end helps too
  14. CONGRATS TILLER YOU ARE THE FISH KILLER!!! DID YOU GO OUT OF THE SBH OR STURGEON PT PLEASE?
  15. First trip back out in a few days, fished out at the line 73-68fow. Fish were tight to bottom and gradually suspending higher as the morning went on. 26 landed with the first big fish in the boat today coming in at 30.125”. Copper orange, watermelon, and dark green orange were the best harnesses today.
  16. GOOD LUCK LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR REPORT.
  17. Water too warm downtown, Head out past Sturgeon Point west.
  18. Last week
  19. Lower Niagara River shoreline slip bobber Lake , Rainbow and Brown Trout as walleye and smallmouth bass right here in Western NY, Below the Falls, whirlpool shores to the open lake is our American option for these species if you are interested. Take a hike down there and learn how to get there first, slippery and falldowns occur so be care full. Usual spinning rods cast your rigs out and they drift downstream in the current. Egg sacs and emeralds are good. Also spinner lures work well. Landing nets are a good idea as there are ten pounders possible. Cheaper than flying to Alaska.
  20. Registration appointments, site travel distances and class room time are somewhat difficult. A lot of boaters can not afford the costs to use your boats sitting useless due to this new regulation.
  21. Went out of the Cat this morning, got a 2 man limit on riggers & dipsys, 1 perch and 1 huge sheephead. Stayed in the 50's primarily. Saw a stack of perch around 52', was tempted to spot lock for some but it was too hot, wanted to get off. It's too easy now, it can't last.
  22. I use three ways with about a 12 inch lead to the weight and a 3 foot leader on the harness. I don't use real heavy weight (3 oz max). You can drift effectively if their is enough wind. I like a min speed of 1.2 and use the electric motor on light wind days. I will adjust speed from 1.2 - 1.8 but usually end up at 1.4. I always have at least one bottom bouncer out, but the later we get in the summer typically the lead core and downriggers perform much better.

  29. What do your bottom bounce rigs look like. I think there 3 way rigs with heavy weight on bottom dropper maybe 18 inch down but how long of a lead to harness or stick. Can you drift as effective or do you need electric troll Sent from my SM-G781V using Lake Erie United Mobile App
